APA National Conference in New Orleans focuses on Delta Urbanism

On April 10-13, 2010, the American Planning Association held its annual National Conference at the New Orleans Convention Center. The conference focused “on the region’s recovery from the 2005 hurricanes and its continuing vulnerability,” and more broadly on Urbanised Deltas, from New Orleans to the Netherlands. David Waggonner, Dutch Dialogues founder and principal of Waggonner & Ball Architects, presented at the session, “Managing Water with Blueways,” while Dutch Dialogues participants Roelof Stuurman, Han Meyer, and Frans van de Ven spoke at “Delta Urbanism and Water Cities,” and Derek Hoeferlin participated in “Is There A Unique Delta Urbanism?
